When Should I Sell?

  • When you just want cash, and don't want to worry about a loan

  • When you longer have a need for your item

  • When you have no intention of picking your item up

What difference does it matter whether I Sell or Pawn?

  • While we don't loan money based upon credit rating, the customer can develop a very favorable rating with us.   Customers who routinely pawn that have no intention of paying on their loan  develop an unfavorable rating.  Why is this?  Because Greenback Pawn must hold an item for over a month on Pawn because the pawned item is collateral for the loan.  Remember, a pawn IS a loan.  When the  customer sells to Greenback Pawn, the item can be put on our sales floor more quickly.  This involves a concept known as the "Time Value of Money" .  This concept states that the longer you have to wait for money, the less it is worth.

  • The better your rating, the chances that you will get more for your item.
